In short

It opens sharp and zesty, settles into a dry, slightly powdery paper note with white tea, and finishes on clean vetiver and cedar.

Concept

Lemon peel on a clean sheet of paper: the satisfaction of an empty desk at nine in the morning. A cologne-weight citrus built on the Paper Light accord instead of the usual neroli-musk base, so the lemon dries down to paper and pale wood rather than soap.

  • Family. Citrus — Citrus aromatic
  • Main accords. Lemon peel, White paper, Dry vetiver, White tea
  • Intended for. Gender-neutral, Office, Everyday, Young adult
  • Season and occasion. Spring and summer; any working day
  • Collection. RUŌOD House Originals

How it develops

  • Opening. Cold-pressed lemon and bergamot, a little litsea for sherbet sharpness, coriander and elemi for a peppery edge.
  • Heart. Paper Light (aldehydes, orris ionones, cedar) with Hedione and a trace of mate and theaspirane for white tea.
  • Base. Vetiver, cedar and Iso E Super over a quiet musk of Habanolide, ambrettolide and ethylene brassylate.

Ingredients

Quantities are parts by weight of a 1,000-part fragrance concentrate — the weight put on the balance. Where a dilution is given, the line is weighed as that solution in dipropylene glycol, and its share is of the weighed amount.

Accords inside. This formula contains Paper Light Accord at 150 parts. It is already expanded into the lines above — each material appears once, with the accord's share merged into it — so an accord is never weighed or counted twice.

Composition notes

  • Key materials. Lemon Oil (Cold-Pressed), Bergamot Oil FCF, Hedione, Vetiver Oil, Habanolide
  • What makes it distinctive. The citrus is anchored by an aldehydic paper accord rather than a floral-musk base, which should keep it dry and businesslike.
  • Character. Easy to wear and unobtrusive in close quarters, with more structure than a classic cologne.
  • Concentration. 8–12% (eau de toilette)

Safety and compliance

  • Status. Regulatory assessment pending. No formula-level safety assessment is documented yet, so this page does not say the formula is compliant for any use.
  • IFRA Standards. The IFRA Standards Library covers 4 of its materials: Lemon Oil (Cold-Pressed) (Restriction: Lemon oil cold pressed, Amendment 49); Linalool (Specification: Linalool, Amendment 38); Vetiveryl Acetate (Restriction: Acetylated Vetiver oil, Amendment 49); alpha-Isomethyl Ionone (Methyl ionone, mixed isomers, Amendment 49).
  • Phototoxicity. Lemon Oil (Cold-Pressed) is phototoxic; IFRA limits phototoxic materials in products left on skin exposed to sunlight.
  • Skin sensitisation. EU-labelled fragrance allergens present as ingredients: Linalool, alpha-Isomethyl ionone. Natural materials carry further allergens as constituents, declared from the supplier’s data, and Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 extends the list to be labelled on products placed on the EU market from 31 July 2026.
  • Product category. Limits depend on the product: fine fragrance, leave-on and rinse-off products have different IFRA categories, and each Standard sets its own figure for each.
